The Pilkington McPhee Partnership was formed in 2002 by the merging of  “J Pilkington Architectural Services” and David McPhee’s practice known as “Studio 65”.

David is a chartered architect with the Royal Institute of British Architects and registered with the Architects Registration Board. He has over 23 years experience of the profession, and has been qualified and registered for the last 15 years. Jonathan is an architectural technologist with nearly 20 years experience and is a profile member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists. The practice is also registered with the RIBA as a Chartered Practice. We work separately on small works or together as a team on larger projects.

After starting off working from home, the business moved to a former shop on the A6 in Duffield. Following rapid expansion the business moved to a more suitable premises within the historic North Mill in 2004. This year sees the practice move to a brand new purpose built office, still within Belper, but slightly further down the A6 towards Derby in the distinctive curved roof development known as the Heritage Business Centre.
